The last will and testament of Isabel Mylrea als Gelling made the 11th November 1743 being in perfect memory at the making hereof Iprimus She committed her soul to God and her body to the earth Item She bequeathed to her sister Cath five shillings Item She left and bequeathed to her sister Alice all her clothes, woolen and linen of what kind soever Item to her two brothers William and Thomas Gelling six legacy each Lastly she nominated and constituted her loving husband Thomas Mylrea sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever and all this in presence of us the day abovesaid Amy Curry my X, Margaret Cain my X ] jurati
The executor is sworn in Court in form of law and gave pledges viz Charles Mylrea & Thomas Callister Solvit 12d

NOTES
- Malew Burial Register lists Isabel as from Fildraw-beg
- Best guess is that she was the first wife of Thomas Mylrea (son of Thomas Mylrea & Jony Kinley); Isabel's bequests to siblings would tend to suggest she had no children of her own. She might have been the daughter of Nicholas Gelling, and born about 1717
- If the assumption about her being the wife of Thomas Mylrea is correct, then Thomas married again, in 1746 to Isabel Shimmin. He was 30 years of age which is a little later than average for a first marriage. They had many children and subsequently moved to Rushen
- There is much about the Malew Mylreas of the 1600s and early 1700s that does not hang together so extreme caution must be exercised
